You Who Bite at Every Chance - Leave
(2012.01.20)
The Hard Daily Grind)
At my every word,
at my every small action,
today again, the other person
picks fights all day long.
They come at me like their life depends on it, wanting to tear me apart and see it through to the end.
As Koike Ryunosuke wrote in "The Practice of Not Getting Angry,"
habitual nitpicking is perhaps
less about worrying for the other person or wanting to fix them,
and more about seeking one's own thrill (intense emotional stimulation),
criticizing others and self-motivating one's own identity.
Through this, they feel a sense of superiority and self-justification over themselves.
My Response)
In the end, it's just sounds and letters.
Moreover, even if their heart,
in other words, even if they truly hate me or see me as foolish,
that is merely the other person's mind, not mine.
Now then... the choice about my own heart?
In the end, it's my own responsibility...
