Out of nowhere,
a thought came to me.
I recalled the days back in the 2000s — when I was a soldier or a college student — when I would occasionally read self-help books and jot down parts of them in my diary. Today, in 2012, I find myself copying a piece of a conversation from some Facebook video into my blog.
While making my habitual notes… it suddenly struck me that the behavioral patterns and mental models my daily life used to carry (?) have changed. So, just for a little while, I’m writing down a few words.
Ah— thirty-one years old.
Come to think of it… if anything has changed when I write things down (not in my environment, but inside me), it’s this: I used to copy mostly the good passages from other people’s books, but these days (sure, I still write down book passages too) I mainly write based on things I’ve said, things someone has said to me, or things I’ve done. That’s one more thing that’s different.
