I Thought I Should Study English

I thought I should study English.

I went looking on YouTube for ways to study English when you're older. Synthesizing what I found:

Intonation matters more than pronunciation, and listening and speaking matter more than reading. Idioms matter more than grammar, and getting used to word order helps. And in the process of acquiring all this, in order to build the muscles in your mouth, the material you study has to be used in real life — and it has to be learned through interaction, with a context that forms naturally as it gets used.

So I thought about what tool (content) could converge all of these methods.

What I decided on was the MOOC educational programs. I had once spent a lot of time researching and organizing them… and finally, eight years on, that work has come into the light. Among the related links I looked through, the one that caught my eye most was the (formerly) Coursera, (now) FutureLearn site, where I signed up for a UX-related course.

Finally, my schedule will be in the morning — making one more reason for me to actually get up early.
