*Repentance
- Cham (repentance): a mind that feels shame
- Hoe (remorse): a mind resolved not to commit the act again
*Gyojinyeo: the first to awaken to the Buddha's teachings.
*Do not sleep just anywhere.
*Value the Dharma, but do not take outward appearances lightly either.
*The moment a thought arises in the mind is the moment karma is created.
Do not try to deliberately do good deeds.
Instead, remove the evil mind from the foundation of your heart.
If the evil mind is already gone, there is no need for good deeds.
*The moment hatred and resentment arise in a single thought -- that very moment is hell.
*Just as a bee takes nectar from a flower without harming it,
do not earn money by incurring others' resentment.
*The Buddha's teachings are not realized through understanding alone --
they are attained only through practice.
*Before blaming or pointing fingers at others,
see others' matters as your teacher.
Ask yourself whether you are forcing yourself to be honest,
or whether circumstances simply leave you no choice but to be honest.
