The future of the smart car
Pleasant Charles
Listening to music through a phone or USB? oh~ no!
Transplanting the phone into the car: personalization tailored to the user
1) Individual driving records (usable for carpool, the sharing economy)
2) Examples: changing seat position and rearview mirror position, tuning the body feel of steering and accelerator,
frequently used LBS, parking and fee calculation, navigating to places registered on Facebook or Foursquare.
3) Car-attached devices themselves in a DIY form.
4) Operating like some software on the OS of a smartphone or a new device.
A case to look into: Nokia's MeeGo.
