A ramble on what planners actually do

A thought that popped up while I was falling asleep, for no clear reason..
Jotting it down before it disappears.

A
planner does many things, but one of the important ones
is defining a problem, and being able to reinterpret that problem from many angles.

That said,
there's one more thing you must not forget before interpreting the problem from those many crucial angles and searching for solutions.

It's like a warm-up before swimming or a marathon - not even national team athletes are exempt from it. Whether new-hire or veteran, it's something everyone has to do: understanding and empathizing with the phenomenon itself. Not just me alone, but the whole task force.

That's how "mind-to-mind" understanding between participants gets formed,
and how you start being able to interpret "the thingy has to be thingy-thingy because it's gotta be thingy."

This is useful not only for projects but also for organizational operations and customer communication - and saying more would just be nagging..

What am I doing right now.. let's just sleep
