Connect the Dots

The people living today live on top of what a past version of me, or my family, gathered and piled up.

Sometimes today's we meet what can only be called a dead-end situation — truly, nothing to do, nothing to choose.

Now and then, when I can't move an inch like that, instead of agonizing over today's possible choices, I go looking for things that might reach my future self — things within reach of his hand.
