In today's era of AI mass adoption, the PM is like director Jang Hang-jun

Lately Open Claw has been the talk of the town.

If you look on YouTube, all kinds of cases keep showing up.
But looking at recent news, Naver and KakaoTalk are saying they won’t allow Open Claw to be used.

While I’ve been doing vibe coding with AI lately and various collaborations with Open Claw, what I felt is that the role of the planner or PM of the past is feeling completely different.

And it might sound out of nowhere, but I thought of the lottery.
People who only think about saving up money, when the money actually arrives in their hands, can’t figure out how to spend it. Even though their financial needs are fully met, they end up using that money to chase even more money, and in the end they lose everything. Maybe the blind pursuit has soaked into their bones.

Coming back to the point: it’s similar with using AI and Open Claw.
When you do PM work in a corporate setting, you often end up involved in HR, and in many cases the managers tend to hire someone they think they can control, rather than someone better than themselves. In my case, I never hired anyone unless they were better than me. Because I’m the one managing the project; I wasn’t looking to hire a personal assistant. Looking at how Naver, Kakao, and many IT companies are using AI lately and how they’re dealing with Open Claw, it doesn’t feel that different from those managers.
Today, AI and collaboration with Open Claw is essentially equivalent to being given an environment where PhDs and master’s graduates are your colleagues working with you.
The primary goal you’re pursuing has changed.
It’s like, after winning the lottery, the question becomes not how to save more money but how to spend it sensibly and efficiently and enjoy consumption.
People’s vague evaluations of AI and Open Claw are not so different from that.
